Sista A is a playable character in both the original Rumble Roses (where she was called "Showbiz") in 2004 and the sequel Rumble Roses XX in 2006.

She fights under the moniker of "The Harlem Nightmare". Her Japanese voice actress is Reiko Kiuchi. She was dubbed by Jessica Gee (credited as Pari Banyan) in the first game, with Julie Ann Taylor voicing her in the sequel. Her singing voice was provided by Aisha Goodison.[1][2][3]

Sista A is unlocked in the first game by completing Aisha's story-line or through the Vow system. In Rumble Roses XX, she emerges after Aisha loses the Championship title to a player controlled character.

Background[]

Sista A (also known as "Showbiz") is the Heel persona of Aisha. In the continuity of the first game, Aisha's record sales severely plummeted following her loss in the Rumble Roses Tournament...

This, in turn, ultimately led to the eventual demise of her career in the entertainment industry, as well as an inabillity to even make money. Yet despite having suffering all of these hardships, Aisha still held onto her life-long desire to be able to dance on stage. And so, Aisha was no more... And in her place, the villainous and sensual dancer known as "Sista A" emerged to fight in the tournament.

While being visible in both games, the presence of the Demonic Tattoo on her body is much more significant in the first game. It seems (at least in Benikage's storyline) that Anesthesia 'altered' her to cause the drastic change in her. For the sequel however, Sista A is presented as being just the alter-ego of Aisha, with the tattoo essentially being made incidental.

Along the way, she encountered The Mistress, and the two quickly learned that they shared the same desire for the dark and debauched. And so, the Dancer and the Dominatrix would go to form a Heel Tag-Team, called The Vanity Twins to compete for the newly formed Tag-Championship in the second game.

Personality[]

Sista A is essentially what Aisha would become if stripped of her inhibitions and lacking humility or any concept of right or wrong. She is now driven solely by her own selfish desires and ambitions, and thinks nothing of those around her- save for how she can use them to further her own ends.

Her rampant narcissism and ego is most clearly reflected in her highly sexualized appearance and antics- both in and out of the ring. She also doesn't seem to care what others think of her, as she basically dresses and acts as if she were an exotic dancer. Sista A's shameless nature is shown during her extremely sexually-charged intro that plays as she approaches the wring. And again, when she enters the ring to dance on a pole!

Her desire to perform seems to have become warped as well... In the first game, during her interview, when asked what else interests her, she replies: "I ain't really even interested in wrestlin'. All I care 'bout are the stares when I'm on stage." This would seem to imply she has become more of an exhibitionist than a dancer.

And the transformation seems to have only worsened her feelings for Dixie Clemets. The grudging respect she once held for the cowgirl is now gone, and in it's place is only an intense hatred and resentment for her!

Appearance[]

Sista A: "The Harlem Nightmare"

Not counting her costume, the change in Sista A's physical appearance is surprisingly minor. Essentially, all that seems to have changes is that her hair is a darker shade and she now wears darker makeup. Her newly aquired Demon Tattoo is visible on her inner left thigh.

Sista A wears a shiny gold top with a high collar. Two sections come down in the front on both sides to cover the outer halves of her breasts, while leaving a large triangular-shaped gap in the front, before meeting in the back. A small veil-like object hangs down just over her cleavage, composed of intricate interlocking gold segments. She wears matching shiny gold elbow pads on both arms (with a simply gold and silver armband on her right bicep, above elbow pad). She also wears a pair of fingerless black Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) gloves.

She wears a matching shiny gold bikini, with what looks like an extremely short chain mail skirt- but that is made of interlocking gold hoops and gold-pieces. She wears a band- of the same

design as the skirt- around her right thigh (just below her tattoo) and one below both knee on her upper calves. She wears a pair of gold open-toed, high platform-heeled shoes.

Once Sista A wins enough matches to achieve a popularity of at least 80 percent, she then unlocks her new Super Star Costume- turning her into the "Arabian Nightmare."

Based on the design of the costume and the new in-ring name she takes (as well as her performance), it's clear that this outfit is intended to make her look like a stereotypical "Harem Girl". Her title is, in fact, a parody on the name of the ancient Middle Eastern collection of folktales, "The 1,001 Arabian Nights."[4]

She wears a gold headband and a light pink, semi-transparent veil that covers the lower half of her face and part of her neck. She wears an totally gold top- with ornate circular sections over her breasts, narrow gold chains for straps, and long gold tassels hanging down from the front. She wears darker gold-colored elbow pads and decorative gold gloves over her hands and lower forearms.

She also wears a gold belt around her waist with an extremely short skirt attached to it (of the same material as her veil), and black bikini bottom underneath it. She wears small decorative kneepads, with long strands of gold adorning her lower legs and feet. Aside from

this, she is otherwise barefoot in this costume.

When fighting in matches on the beach (such as Mad Mud Matches or Queen's Matches), Sista A wears a matching exotic black two-piece that looks more akin to lingerie. She also wears a pair of sandals and lacy glove-like garments that partially cover her hands. Both pieces appear to be made of a lacy black material, with very fine lace designs worked into the surface of the fabric.

A thin black strap is visible running between the "cups" of the top. Small decorative black ribbons hang down on either side of her body, below her arm pits, and the strap itself connects together behind her back. Two straps come up from either side of the cups- one from her cleavage and the others from the far side. The two straps converge in a triangular formation just below her collarbones, joining together and both and going down along her back and meeting up with the lower strap. The bottom is much more conventional in design. And in keeping with the look of the top, it resembles lengerie- complete with ruffled edges.

Fighting Style[]

Sista A's submission abilities on display

As with her alter-ego, Sista A is very much a brawler, so much so that her fighting style is essentially just highly-focused form of "streetfighting". She attacks with considerable force, allowing her to inflict high levels of body damage on those she fights- with her punches being particularly brutal.

Sista A is strong and has considerable endurance to attacks. Due to her size and build, she can viewed as somewhat of a clumsy fighter, as both her speed and attack range are limited. And the degree of force in her attacks can make her vulnerable to reversals. She can become vulnerable in Total Humiliation Matches, especially when facing opponents that are skilled in performing grapple-reversals and submission holds.

She's a capable fighter in most match types, especially in Street Fights- where her ability to inflict damage is key to winning. But as with the other strength-based fighters, she's vulnerable to faster and more agile fighters, so gauging the opponent is critical. If the player becomes careless, she can easily end up loosing. Sista A is also rather let down by her defense in comparison to other Roses of similar size. She can struggle against Roses who have rather high output in damage themselves.
